Oil flow sets how fast the auger turns and pressure sets the torque, so a machine at the low end of the range will drill more slowly. The circuit needs to run both ways so you can reverse the auger to free it. If your excavator only has a single-acting hammer circuit, the optional 2-way valve converts it to two-way flow.
