The 10–18 tonne excavator Scandinavian tilt bucket is a 1700mm-wide hydraulic attachment designed for accurate grading, shaping and finishing on larger groundworks and civil-engineering projects. Its extended floor, tapered sides and long working edge provide the control needed to trim banks, follow slopes and produce a consistent finish across uneven ground.
With a 750-litre capacity and an attachment weight of 710kg, this model provides substantial coverage for excavators in the 10–18 tonne carrier class. It is manufactured using abrasion-resistant steel and fitted with reinforced wear bars and a heavy-duty 25 × 200mm HB400 cutting edge.
Each bucket is finished to suit the confirmed excavator or quick-hitch linkage. If you are uncertain about compatibility, send us your machine, hitch and hydraulic details before ordering.

Where This 1700mm Tilt Bucket Works Best
The 1700mm working width allows larger excavators to grade a substantial area with each pass. Its hydraulic tilt function lets the operator adjust the bucket’s working angle without continually repositioning the excavator, improving control when working across slopes, alongside ditches or around fixed obstacles.
The combination of a long floor, tapered profile and high-capacity body makes this model particularly suitable for applications where productivity and finishing accuracy are both important.
Typical applications include:
- Grading and levelling soil, stone and sub-base
- Shaping banks, slopes, verges and embankments
- Constructing and maintaining drainage ditches
- Road, housing and commercial groundworks
- Spreading topsoil, aggregate and loose material
- Finishing around kerbs, foundations and service routes
- Creating smooth transitions between different ground levels
- Landscaping and final site preparation
- Civil-engineering and infrastructure finishing work
This attachment is primarily designed for grading, shaping and finishing. For trenching, foundations or aggressive excavation in compacted material, choose a dedicated excavator digging bucket.
Scandinavian Tilt Bucket or Fixed Grading Bucket?
A conventional fixed grading or ditching bucket is a practical option for straightforward levelling, backfilling, ditch clearance and loose-material handling. It works particularly well when the excavator can be positioned squarely in relation to the working surface.
A Scandinavian tilt bucket combines an extended floor and tapered profile with hydraulic angle adjustment. This gives the operator greater control when following crossfalls, trimming banks or shaping ground where repositioning the machine would be difficult or inefficient.
Neither attachment replaces a narrower toothed bucket for demanding excavation in hard or compacted ground. The right choice depends on whether the main requirement is digging, general material handling or detailed angled grading.

Excavator and Quick-Hitch Compatibility
Excavator buckets are not universal. Although this model is designed for machines within the 10–18 tonne carrier class, excavators of a similar operating weight can use different pin dimensions, linkage widths and quick-hitch systems.
Please provide the following information when ordering:
- Excavator make and model
- Machine operating weight
- Quick-hitch or coupler make and model
- Pin diameter
- Pin-centre measurement
- Internal dipper or linkage width
- Clear photographs of the hitch or an existing bucket where possible
Machine weight should only be treated as an initial guide. The complete linkage specification must be confirmed before manufacture. If you cannot provide the measurements, complete our attachment fitment and quotation form.
Hydraulic Requirements
This bucket requires a suitable auxiliary hydraulic service to operate its tilt function. Hydraulic connections and machine requirements can vary between excavators, quick hitches and existing attachment setups.
Please provide details or photographs of the machine’s hydraulic connections before ordering. Do not assume that hoses, couplings or installation components are included unless they are specifically listed on your quotation.
Attachment Weight and Machine Suitability
This bucket weighs 710kg before any material is loaded. The excavator manufacturer’s permitted attachment weight, hydraulic capacity, lifting chart and stability guidance must therefore be checked before use.
The carrier class alone does not confirm that the bucket is suitable for every machine or application. Quick-hitch weight, working radius, ground conditions and the density of the material being handled can all affect stability and safe operating capacity.
Delivery and Ordering
This Scandinavian tilt bucket is finished to suit the confirmed excavator or quick-hitch linkage. The usual fulfilment target is within 7–10 working days, although factory workload, linkage requirements and immediate stock availability can affect the final delivery date.
If the bucket is required for a fixed project date, please contact us before ordering so that current availability and delivery times can be confirmed.
10–18 Tonne Scandinavian Tilt Bucket FAQs
How wide is this Scandinavian tilt bucket?
This model has a working width of 1700mm, equivalent to approximately 66.9 inches.
What is the bucket capacity?
The bucket has a capacity of 750 litres, providing substantial coverage for grading, landscaping and handling loose material.
How much does the bucket weigh?
The empty attachment weighs 710kg. The excavator manufacturer’s attachment limits, lifting capacity and stability guidance should be checked before use.
Does this bucket require hydraulics?
Yes. The excavator must have a suitable auxiliary hydraulic service. The required connections and machine compatibility should be confirmed before ordering.
Will it fit every 10–18 tonne excavator?
No. Excavators and quick hitches within the same carrier class can use different linkage dimensions. The machine model, hitch type, pin diameter, pin centres and linkage width must be confirmed.
Does this model have wear bars?
Yes. The 10–18 tonne model includes reinforced wear bars to protect areas exposed to regular ground contact and abrasion.
Can this bucket be used for digging?
It can collect loose material and complete light shaping work, but it is not intended to replace a toothed digging bucket for aggressive excavation in hard or compacted ground.
What information is needed when ordering?
Provide the excavator make and model, operating weight, quick-hitch details, linkage measurements and hydraulic connection information. Photographs of the hitch and existing connections can also help confirm compatibility.
