Forklift Tipping Skips

Forklift tipping skips, also known as tipper skips or forklift skip bins, are used to collect and discharge scrap, waste and loose material without manual handling. They mount directly onto standard forklift forks and are emptied by a release mechanism that allows the body to roll forward.

We supply the UK-manufactured Contact Attachments range in five capacities from 400 litres (0.4m³) to 2000 litres (2.0m³), in roll forward, auto release and heavy duty specifications. All models are CE and UKCA marked, supplied with a certificate of conformity and operating instructions, and fitted with castors as standard.

Fitting a tipping skip moves the load centre forward, which reduces the rated capacity of your forklift. Check the safe working load of the skip against your truck's capacity at the extended load centre before ordering.

Forklift Tipping Skips for Safe Waste Handling

Forklift tipping skips are a practical solution for handling waste, scrap and loose materials across construction sites, warehouses and industrial environments. Designed to be mounted directly onto forklift forks, tipping skips allow operators to move and dispose of materials safely and efficiently.

Our range of forklift tipping skips is built for heavy duty use, with robust steel construction and simple tipping mechanisms designed for everyday operation.

Heavy Duty Tipping Skips – Sizes and Applications

Choosing the right tipping skip depends on the type of material you handle and the capacity required. Forklift tipping skips are available in a range of sizes to suit different applications.

  • Handling general site waste and debris
  • Moving scrap materials in industrial environments
  • Transporting bulk materials such as sand, gravel or offcuts
  • Improving efficiency in waste management processes

If you are unsure which size is suitable, it is important to consider both volume capacity and the lifting limits of your forklift.

How to Choose the Right Forklift Tipping Skip

Selecting the correct tipping skip is important for safe and efficient use. The key factors to consider include capacity, build quality and tipping mechanism.

Choose the Right Capacity

Tipping skips are available in a range of capacities. Smaller skips are ideal for light waste, while larger models are suited to bulk materials and higher volume applications.

Consider the Tipping Mechanism

Most tipping skips use either a manual release or an automatic tipping mechanism. Automatic models can improve efficiency in busy environments where frequent emptying is required.

Check Fork Compatibility

Ensure the skip is compatible with your forklift’s fork size and lifting capacity to maintain safe operation.

Common Uses for Forklift Tipping Skips

  • Construction site waste removal
  • Warehouse waste handling
  • Recycling and scrap material transport
  • General site clean-up and material movement

Alongside tipping skips, we also supply a full range of forklift attachments including forklift fork extensions and forklift lifting jibs for different handling requirements.
