Excavator Pallet Forks

Excavator pallet forks, sometimes called digger forks, turn your excavator into a material handler for pallets, blocks, kerbs and pipes, so you can unload and place materials without bringing a telehandler onto site. We supply sliding and floating forks for 2 to 22 tonne excavators, each made to fit your machine.

Sliding forks lock the tines at a set width for precise placing. Floating forks hang on a round bar and settle level on uneven ground. Browse all our excavator tools.

Sliding or Floating Forks?

  • Sliding forks: Class 2A tines run on rails, slide left and right to suit the pallet and lock in position. The tines stay vertical as you lift and place, for precise control. See the sliding pallet forks.
  • Floating forks: the tines hang on a round bar, like telehandler forks, with a short range of vertical movement, so they settle level on uneven ground. Forgiving on rough sites. See the floating pallet forks.

Why Use Forks on an Excavator?

With your excavator's 360° slew and reach, you can place loads over trenches and walls and below ground level, where a forward-facing telehandler can't reach. On sites without a telehandler, forks let you unload and move deliveries with the machine you already have.

Lifting Safely

In the UK, lifting a load with an excavator is a lifting operation under LOLER, so plan the lift, work within your excavator's rated lifting capacity, and keep people clear of the load. If you're not sure your machine is set up for lifting, check with your machine supplier before you use the forks.

Fitting Them to Your Excavator

Choose the size that matches your excavator's operating weight. The 14–22 tonne combi link version is made for 65mm and 80mm pins. Each set is finished with the linkage to suit your machine, so send us your make, model, pin diameter, pin centres, dipper width and quick hitch details. Our guide on how to measure an excavator for a new bucket shows how to take them.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much can excavator pallet forks lift?

No more than the rated capacity of the forks or of your excavator, whichever is lower. Ask us for the fork rating for your size.

Do pallet forks need hydraulics?

No. They mount on your excavator's linkage and need no hydraulics.

Can I use pallet forks on a mini digger?

Yes, on a 2 tonne machine or bigger: our smallest forks suit 2 to 3.5 tonne excavators.

How long does delivery take?

Usually 7 to 10 working days. Each one is made to fit your machine, so we confirm your measurements first. Ask us if you need them for a fixed date.
