Excavator Attachments
Excavator attachments let one machine dig, grade, sort, clear, cut, break, drill, rip, compact and lift. At Mammoth Attachments we supply heavy duty excavator attachments for micro diggers through to 60 tonne machines, each supplied to suit your excavator's linkage and delivered across the UK.
Our range includes excavator buckets for digging, grading and tilting, concrete pouring buckets for placing concrete, sorting buckets and rakes for screening and land clearance, excavator tree shears for cutting trees and scrub, excavator flail mowers for grass, brambles and hedges, excavator mulchers for shredding trees and dense scrub, excavator grabs and grapples for sorting, loading and handling material, excavator breakers for breaking concrete and rock, excavator augers for drilling post holes, pile holes and tree pits, excavator trenchers for cables, pipes and drainage, and excavator tools such as rippers, compaction wheels, pallet forks and quick hitches. Whatever the job, choosing the right attachment means less time on site and a better finish.
Our Excavator Attachments Range
Excavator Buckets
The core of any excavator's kit. Digging buckets handle trenching, foundations and general excavation, grading and ditching buckets leave a smooth finish and clean out ditches, Scandinavian tilt buckets add hydraulic tilt for slopes and banks, and tilt rotator grading buckets are built to work under a tiltrotator.
Concrete Pouring Buckets
Carry concrete from the mixer lorry to the pour when the lorry can't get close. Tapered sides and a funnel chute place it accurately into formwork and columns, with 450, 875 and 1,500 litre buckets for 6 to 24 tonne excavators. Read how to pour concrete with an excavator.
Sorting Buckets and Rakes
Sort, screen and clear ground with the machine you already have. Riddle buckets separate stone and rubble from soil as you dig, screening buckets use a rotating drum for a finer product, land rakes comb stones and debris out of topsoil, and root rakes tear out roots and scrub during land clearance.
Cone Crusher Bucket
The Auger Torque cone crusher bucket crushes bricks, blocks, concrete and asphalt into hardcore up to 60mm, so you can reuse rubble on site instead of paying to take it away. It fits 3 to 10 tonne excavators, as well as backhoes, mini loaders, skid steers and telehandlers.
Excavator Tree Shears
Hydraulic tree shears cut trunks, saplings and scrub in one bite and hold each stem so you can lay it on the pile. Four sizes cover 2 to 30 tonne excavators, as fixed shears or with a 360° rotator, with maximum cuts from 170mm to 450mm.
Excavator Flail Mowers
Hydraulic flail mowers cut grass, brambles, scrub and hedges, using the excavator's reach to get at banks, ditches and verges. Four sizes cover 0.8 to 10 tonne excavators, with cutting widths from 600mm to 1,500mm.
Excavator Mulchers
Forestry mulcher heads shred trees, hedgerows and dense vegetation where they stand, leaving mulch instead of brash to burn or haul away. Three sizes cover 5 to 25 tonne excavators, with working widths from 800mm to 1,600mm and rollaway hammers or fixed teeth. Not sure whether you need a mulcher or a flail? Read forestry mulcher vs flail mower.
Excavator Hedge Trimmer
The Auger Torque T150 hedge trimmer uses the excavator's reach to trim tall hedges, trees and shrubs, cutting branches up to 40mm thick with a 1.5m blade. It fits 1.5 to 8 tonne excavators and skid steers.
Excavator Grabs and Grapples
A grab turns an excavator into a sorting, loading and handling machine. Selector grabs sort demolition waste, stone and scrap, timber grabs handle logs and stumps, folding grabs grip brash and irregular loads, manual grapples work with no hydraulics, and excavator thumbs turn your bucket into a grab. Sizes cover 1 to 36 tonne excavators.
Excavator Breakers
Hydraulic breakers, also called hydraulic hammers or peckers, break concrete, rock and hard ground that a bucket can't dig. Eight sizes cover 0.8 to 35 tonne excavators, in an Economy range for occasional work and a Professional range for continuous heavy rock work, including mini digger breakers for 0.8 to 4.5 tonne machines.
Excavator Drum Cutter
The Auger Torque KDC drum cutter grinds rock and concrete with rotating drums fitted with picks, for trenching in rock, scaling walls and tunnelling, with low noise and vibration. Nine sizes cover 2 to 60 tonne excavators, and it's sealed for underwater work down to 20m.
Excavator Augers
Hydraulic earth drills turn an auger to drill post holes, pile holes and tree pits from 100mm to 2.4m across. The Auger Torque range covers 0.75 to 50 tonne excavators, with hitches made to fit your machine. It includes mini digger augers for 0.75 to 5 tonne machines, large excavator auger drives and high torque earth drills for 20 to 50 tonne machines, PA augers up to 2.4m and a hard rock auger for fractured rock. Drilling from another machine? See the backhoe auger and truck crane auger. Add auger extensions for deeper holes, keep spare teeth and pilots on site, and use the clean out disc to clear the bottom of each hole.
Excavator Trenchers
Chain trenchers cut narrow trenches for cables, pipes, drainage and ground source heat pump loops in one pass, with a built-in auger that piles the spoil to one side. The Auger Torque MT trencher suits 2.5 to 5 tonne excavators and the Auger Torque XHD trencher suits 5 to 10 tonne excavators, with trenches from 300mm to 1.5m deep.
Excavator Tools
Ripper hooks break up compacted ground, hardcore and rock, compaction wheels and plates compact trench backfill, pallet forks lift pallets, blocks and pipes, and quick hitches speed up attachment changes. Sizes cover 1 to 40 tonne excavators.
How to Choose the Right Excavator Attachment
Match the Attachment to Your Machine
Start with your excavator's operating weight. Every attachment in our range is sized by machine class, and an attachment that's too heavy or too large for the machine hurts performance and stability.
Check the Hitch and Pins
Excavators in the same weight class can use different pin sizes, linkage widths and quick hitches, so attachments are supplied to suit your machine. Our guide on how to measure an excavator for a new bucket shows how to take the measurements we need.
Check Your Hydraulics
Standard buckets, riddle buckets, rakes, manual grapples, manual thumbs, rippers, compaction wheels, pallet forks and manual and Springlock quick hitches need no hydraulics. Tilt buckets, screening buckets, crusher buckets, tree shears, flail mowers, mulchers, hedge trimmers, hydraulic grabs, breakers, drum cutters, augers, trenchers, compaction plates and hydraulic quick couplers do, so check what auxiliary circuits your machine has before you order. Our guide to screening bucket hydraulic requirements explains what to look for.
Match the Attachment to the Job
Dig with a digging bucket, finish ground and clear ditches with a grading bucket, pour concrete with a concrete pouring bucket, sort with a riddle or screening bucket, crush rubble into hardcore with a crusher bucket, clear with a root rake, cut trees with a tree shear, cut back growth with a flail mower, shred trees and dense scrub with a mulcher, trim hedges with a hedge trimmer, move material with a grab, break concrete and rock with a breaker, cut rock with a drum cutter, drill holes with an auger, cut narrow trenches with a trencher, loosen hard ground with a ripper, compact backfill with a compaction wheel or plate and lift pallets with pallet forks. Our excavator bucket buying guide covers the bucket choices in detail.

Excavator Attachments FAQs
Are excavator attachments universal?
No. Attachments need to match your machine's weight class, pins, linkage and quick hitch, and some need auxiliary hydraulics. Send us your machine details and we'll confirm fitment.
What size attachment do I need?
Start with your excavator's operating weight and choose the attachment sized for that class. If your machine sits between two sizes, ask us before ordering.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes. We deliver excavator attachments across the UK. Each one is supplied to suit your machine, with delivery usually within 7 to 10 working days. For attachments we quote individually, such as trenchers and drum cutters, we confirm the lead time with your quote.
