The Auger Torque MT trencher is a chain trencher for 2.5 to 5 tonne mini diggers and skid steers. It cuts narrow trenches 300mm to 900mm deep and 100mm to 300mm wide for cables, pipes, drainage and ground source heat pump loops, and its built-in auger piles the spoil neatly to one side of the trench.
There are two models. The MT 600 suits 2.5 to 4.5 tonne excavators and cuts 300, 450 or 600mm deep, and the MT 900 suits 3 to 5 tonne excavators and cuts 600, 750 or 900mm deep. The depth control skid sets the depth, a high quality hydraulic motor drives the chain through Auger Torque's planetary gearbox, and the chain is tensioned with a grease gun.

Before You Order
Check your machine's auxiliary circuit first: the MT 600 needs 35 to 65 l/min at 160 to 240 bar, and the MT 900 needs 45 to 80 l/min at 180 to 240 bar. Then choose the chain for your ground: earth for soft ground such as earth and clay, combination for dry, hard or medium ground, and tungsten for dry, hard or frozen ground. The width you can cut depends on the ground, so we confirm the chain width with your quote.
