The Auger Torque XHD trencher is a heavy duty chain trencher for 5 to 10 tonne excavators and skid steers. It cuts trenches 600mm to 1.5m deep and 150mm to 350mm wide for drainage, larger bore gas and water pipes, cable ducts and ground source heat pump loops, and its built-in auger piles the spoil neatly to one side.
There are three models, each with a depth control skid that sets three depths. The XHD 900 cuts 600, 750 or 900mm deep, the XHD 1200 cuts 800, 1000 or 1200mm, and the XHD 1500 cuts 1000, 1250 or 1500mm. A high quality hydraulic motor drives the chain through Auger Torque's planetary gearbox, and the dog leg boom leaves more room for spoil to clear the chain.

Before You Order
Check your machine's auxiliary circuit can supply the flow for the model you need, at 180 to 240 bar: 60 to 95 l/min for the XHD 900, 70 to 110 l/min for the XHD 1200 and 80 to 115 l/min for the XHD 1500. Choose the chain for your ground: earth for soft ground such as earth and clay, combination for dry, hard or medium ground, and tungsten for dry, hard or frozen ground. The deeper the model, the narrower the widest chain, so we confirm the width with your quote.
