How to Choose Pallet Handling Attachments
Each attachment solves a different problem, so start with the job.
Emptying pallets: the pallet rotator
The forklift pallet rotator sleeves over your forks, picks up a pallet on its own tines and turns it through a full 360 degrees, so you can empty the contents without unloading by hand. It's rated at 500kg and turned by a crank handle or a loop chain through a worm gearbox. It carries the pallet well in front of your forks, so check your truck's capacity with it fitted.
Protecting the next load: pallet stops
If your forks are longer than your pallets, the tips can push out the far side and damage the next pallet or its load. Pallet stops put a backstop on the forks so they only go in as far as you set. Forklift pallet stops slide onto each fork and are held by heel pins, while a carriage mounted pallet stop fixes to the carriage instead. Both are made to measure, so we'll need your fork width and thickness, the length you want and the backstop height.
Reaching the far end: pallet pullers
When pallets sit beyond the reach of your forks, such as at the far end of a container or trailer, a pallet puller grips the pallet and a chain to your forklift drags it to the doors. Once it's in reach, you release the puller and lift the pallet on your forks. Pullers are for pulling only, never for lifting.
Where They're Used
Warehouses, factories and distribution centres use them wherever pallets are loaded, unloaded, stored and emptied: on loading docks, in containers and trailers, and on production lines.
Using Pallet Handling Attachments Safely
- Check your forklift's capacity with any attachment fitted, using its capacity plate or figures from your supplier
- Keep people clear of a pallet while it's turning, and away from where the contents will fall
- With a pallet puller, check the pallet is stable before you pull, apply the pull slowly and evenly, and keep clear of the moving pallet
- Check pullers and chains for wear before each use, and never use them to lift
- Include attachments that carry the load, like the rotator, in your forklift's LOLER thorough examinations

Pallet Handling FAQs
What's the difference between fork mounted and carriage mounted pallet stops?
Fork mounted pallet stops fit on each fork and lock on with heel pins, so they're quick to take off. A carriage mounted pallet stop fixes to the carriage itself for a solid, vibration-free fit. Both are made to measure for your forklift.
Which pallet puller do I need?
Choose by the size of the stringer the jaws will grip and the pallet weight. The PU10 grips stringers up to 76mm, the PU30 up to 89mm and the PU20 up to 140mm. The PU10 and PU20 pull pallets up to 2270kg, and the PU30 up to 2045kg.
Will a pallet rotator fit my forklift?
It sleeves onto forks up to 140 x 60mm, set 890mm apart. The bigger question is capacity: it weighs 187kg and moves the load well forward, so send us your capacity plate details and we'll check it.
How long does delivery take?
Pallet stops are made to order, and we confirm the price and lead time for every attachment with your quote.
