This roll forward tipping skip, also known as a self tipping skip, lets a single forklift operator collect, move and empty scrap and loose waste without manual handling. Operate the full-width release handle and the body rolls forward to empty into a skip, container or waste bay.
It's the regular duty model from Contact Attachments' standard range, built from 3mm steel on a heavy-duty underframe and made in the UK in five sizes from 400 to 2000 litres. For arduous waste such as scrap metal and rubble, the heavy duty tipping skip is built from 5mm steel.

Which Size Do You Need?
The 400L suits smaller workshops and tight spaces, and the 800L balances capacity with manoeuvrability. The 1200L suits factories, construction sites and larger workshops, while the 1600L and 2000L take high volumes of bulky, lighter waste such as packaging.
Choose by weight as well as volume, because dense waste can reach the load capacity before the skip is full. Your forklift also carries the skip's own weight: a full 1200L at its 1250kg limit weighs about 1440kg in total. Roll Forward or Auto Release?

Is a roll forward tipping skip the same as a self tipping skip?
Yes. A roll forward tipping skip is a self tipping skip: its body rolls forward to empty once it's released.
How do you empty it?
Position the skip over the container or tipping point and operate the full-width release handle. The body rolls forward and empties. The twin locking mechanism keeps the skip locked until then, even when it's loaded unevenly.
Will it fit my forklift?
The skip takes forks up to 150 x 60mm, with an 890mm fork spread. Your forklift also needs enough capacity for the skip plus its load at the extended load centre. Send us your forklift model and fork sizes if you're unsure.
Can I add castors or auto release later?
Yes. The skip has pre-drilled castor plates and pull cord fixing points, so castors or an auto release kit can be added later. For a lid or other extras, ask us before you order.
Is it certified?
Yes. It's CE marked with a Certificate of Conformity, meets UKCA requirements, and is fully tested and certificated to the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC). It comes with a 3-year warranty.
