The 2–3.5 tonne excavator Scandinavian tilt bucket is an 1150mm-wide grading and finishing attachment designed for mini diggers and compact excavators. Its extended floor, tapered sides and long, flat base provide a controlled working profile for shaping slopes, finishing banks, maintaining ditches and levelling uneven ground.

With a 175-litre capacity and an attachment weight of 166kg, this model offers increased coverage for groundworks, landscaping and construction projects while remaining suited to excavators in the 2–3.5 tonne class. It is manufactured using abrasion-resistant steel and fitted with a 15 × 150mm HB400 cutting edge.

Each bucket is finished to suit the confirmed excavator or quick-hitch linkage. If you are uncertain about compatibility, send us your machine and hitch details before ordering.

Where This 1150mm Tilt Bucket Works Best

The 1150mm working width makes this bucket well suited to compact excavators completing landscaping, drainage and general groundworks. It provides greater surface coverage than the smaller models in the range while retaining the control required for detailed shaping and final preparation.

The Scandinavian-style profile is particularly useful when the excavator is working across uneven ground or when the finished surface needs to follow a slope, verge or embankment.

Typical applications include:

  • Grading and levelling soil or sub-base
  • Shaping banks, slopes, verges and embankments
  • Cleaning and maintaining drainage ditches
  • Landscaping and garden groundworks
  • Spreading topsoil, aggregate and loose material
  • Finishing around kerbs, foundations and service routes
  • Creating transitions between different ground levels
  • Final site preparation after excavation work

This attachment is primarily intended for grading, shaping and finishing. For trenching, foundations or cutting into compacted ground, use a dedicated excavator digging bucket.

Scandinavian Tilt Bucket or Fixed Grading Bucket?

A conventional fixed grading or ditching bucket is a practical option for straightforward levelling, loose-material handling and ditch clearance. It is generally suited to work where the excavator can be positioned in line with the surface being finished.

A Scandinavian tilt bucket uses a longer floor and tapered side profile designed for more detailed shaping and angled finishing. This makes it particularly useful for following slopes, forming banks and working around kerbs, foundations and other obstacles.

Neither bucket is intended to replace a narrower toothed bucket when excavating hard or compacted ground. The right attachment depends on whether the main task is digging, general levelling or detailed grading and shaping.

Excavator and Quick-Hitch Compatibility

Excavator buckets are not universal. Although this model is designed for machines in the 2–3.5 tonne class, excavators of a similar operating weight can use different pin dimensions, linkage widths and quick-hitch systems.

Please provide the following information when ordering:

  • Excavator make and model
  • Machine operating weight
  • Quick-hitch or coupler make and model
  • Pin diameter
  • Pin-centre measurement
  • Internal dipper or linkage width
  • Clear photographs of the hitch or an existing bucket where possible

Machine weight should only be treated as an initial guide. The linkage specification must be confirmed before manufacture. If you cannot provide the measurements, complete our attachment fitment and quotation form.

Delivery and Ordering

This Scandinavian tilt bucket is finished to suit the confirmed excavator or quick-hitch linkage. The usual fulfilment target is within 7–10 working days, although factory workload and linkage requirements can affect the final delivery date.

If the bucket is needed for a particular project, please contact us before ordering so the current lead time can be confirmed.

2–3.5 Tonne Scandinavian Tilt Bucket FAQs

How wide is this Scandinavian tilt bucket?

This model has a working width of 1150mm, equivalent to approximately 45.3 inches.

What is the bucket capacity?

The bucket has a capacity of 175 litres, providing useful coverage for grading, landscaping and moving loose material.

How much does the bucket weigh?

The empty attachment weighs 166kg. The excavator manufacturer’s attachment limits and lifting guidance should be checked before use.

Will it fit every 2–3.5 tonne excavator?

No. Machines within the same weight class can use different linkages and quick hitches. The machine model, hitch type, pin diameter, pin centres and linkage width must be confirmed.

Can this bucket be used for digging?

It can collect loose material and undertake light shaping, but it is not intended to replace a toothed digging bucket for trenching or aggressive excavation in compacted ground.

What information is needed when ordering?

Provide the excavator make and model, operating weight, hitch details and linkage measurements. Photographs of the hitch or an existing bucket can also help confirm compatibility.
