Wet clay, saturated soil and dense aggregate can weigh considerably more than dry topsoil or other lighter materials. The practical load will also change according to the excavator’s reach, boom position, undercarriage orientation, quick-hitch weight, site gradient and ground stability.

Always account for the bucket’s 367kg empty weight before material is added. Follow the operating limits specified by the excavator and hitch manufacturers and do not select a bucket based only on carrier class, width or capacity.
