Forklift Spreader Beam – 1000kg or 2000kg
Delivery within 7–10 Working Days*
A forklift spreader beam gives you a lifting point at each end of a 2000mm steel beam, so long and wide loads hang level from two hooks instead of balancing on the forks. It slides onto your forks, heel pins hold it in place, and you can choose a 1000kg or 2000kg rating.
Use it for steel sections, machine tools, lorry beds and other long or awkward loads that won't sit on a pallet. A swivel sling hook is fitted at each end, and the large fork pockets make it quick to take off when you go back to pallet work. The beam is made from S275 mild steel, and other widths, other capacities and extra lifting points can be made to order.

Before You Order
Choose a rating above the heaviest load you'll lift, then check that your forklift can carry the beam and the load together. Any attachment moves the load further from the truck and reduces what it can safely lift, so ask your forklift dealer for your truck's capacity with the beam fitted if you're unsure. Send us your fork width and thickness and we'll confirm the beam fits your forks.
Delivery is usually 7 to 10 working days. Need a different width, a higher rating or extra lifting points? Send us your load's length and weight and we'll quote for a beam made to order.
Other Lifting Attachments
For loads that hang from a single hook, our forklift jibs lift up to 3000mm out in front of the truck, and the fixed forklift hook gives you one lifting point close to the forks. For long loads that sit on the forks, see our forklift fork extensions or the four fork attachment, or browse all our forklift attachments.
Forklift Spreader Beam FAQs
What's the difference between a spreader beam and a forklift jib?
A jib gives you one hook point out in front of the truck, which suits compact loads such as motors and machinery. A spreader beam gives you a hook at each end of a 2000mm beam, so long loads hang level and are less likely to tip or bend.
Are lifting slings included?
The beam comes with a swivel sling hook fitted at each end. Slings and chains aren't included, but we can supply them, so ask us for a price.
Does a spreader beam need a LOLER inspection?
Yes. A spreader beam used for lifting is covered by LOLER, so it needs a thorough examination by a competent person at regular intervals. It comes with a Certificate of Conformity, which you should keep with your lifting equipment records.
Can you make a different size?
Yes. Beams can be made in other widths and capacities, with extra lifting points if you need them. Send us your load details and we'll quote.
