Miller Powerlatch Hydraulic Quick Hitch – 6 to 27 Tonne
Delivery within 7–10 Working Days*
The Miller Powerlatch hydraulic quick hitch is a pin-grabber coupler for 6 to 27 tonne excavators that lets you change attachments from the cab. Miller's patented Automatic Blocking System stops the attachment being released by accident, whether from a hydraulic failure or an operator error.
It's built from high-tensile steel, so it's strong without carrying unnecessary weight, and wear indicators show when it needs attention.

Hydraulic Supply
A hydraulic coupler needs a hydraulic supply from your excavator to open and close it. Many machines come piped for a hitch; if yours isn't, it will need an installation kit. Send us your machine details and we'll confirm what's needed before it's supplied.
Using a Quick Hitch Safely
Before you start work, always check the attachment is locked on: crowd it in and lift it clear of the ground to test it, and look at the locking mechanism. Never work with anyone near the bucket while you're coupling or uncoupling. HSE publishes industry guidance on quick hitches, and our guide to excavator quick hitch types explains how each type locks.
Measurements We Need
A quick hitch has to fit both your machine and your attachments, so when you order, send us:
- Excavator make, model and operating weight
- Dipper pin and link pin diameters, pin centres and dipper width
- The pin diameters and pin centres of the buckets and attachments you want to pick up
Our guide on how to measure an excavator for a new bucket shows how to take them. If you can't measure, send us photos and we'll help.
Delivery and Ordering
Each coupler is confirmed to suit your machine before it's supplied. Delivery is usually within 7 to 10 working days, although factory lead times can change this. If you need it for a fixed date, contact us before ordering so we can confirm the current lead time.
Miller Powerlatch Hitch FAQs
Which quick hitch do I need?
A manual hitch is the cheapest and simplest. A Springlock hitch locks the rear pin for you, then you fit the safety pin. A hydraulic coupler like the Miller GTS or Powerlatch changes attachments from the cab. Our guide to excavator quick hitch types compares them.
What do you need from me?
Your excavator make, model and operating weight, its pin diameters, pin centres and dipper width, and the pin sizes of the attachments you want to pick up. We confirm everything before it's supplied.
Does it need hydraulics?
Yes. It needs a hydraulic supply from your excavator to open and close. Many machines are piped for a hitch; if yours isn't, it will need an installation kit, and we'll confirm what's needed.
