Carriage Mounted Big Bag Lifter – 1000kg, Class 2 or 3
Price and lead time confirmed with your quote
Prices depend on your forklift and the options you need, so every attachment is quoted individually.
A carriage mounted big bag lifter hangs directly on your forklift's fork carriage, much like a set of forks, with two long round tines that pass through the loops of a bulk bag. It lifts bags of up to 1000kg and suits trucks that spend most of the day handling bags.
The tines are 1220mm long and 70mm in diameter, made from EN19T steel and sized so they don't flex or bounce on the move. Shaped tips slide into the loops easily, and the round section gives the loops a smooth surface to bear on, which bag makers recommend over sharp-edged forks. Stops keep the bag from sliding along the tines when you drive and brake.

Before You Order
Check your carriage class first. It's usually marked on the carriage or in your truck's manual, or you can measure the height of the carriage plate: class 2 carriages are 407mm high and class 3 are 508mm. Fitting means hanging the lifter on the carriage and bolting the bottom hangers, so it suits a truck that keeps it on. If you'll swap between bags and pallets, ask for the quick release version. Check your forklift's capacity with the attachment fitted, and send us your capacity plate details if you'd like help.
Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you.
