Prices depend on your forklift and the options you need, so every attachment is quoted individually.

A cruciform big bag lifter is a cross-shaped lifting frame that hangs from a hook and holds a bulk bag of up to 1000kg by all four loops. Use it under an overhead crane, or on a forklift fitted with a hook attachment.

Each arm ends in a loop retainer that keeps the loop in place during the lift, with 1000mm between opposite claws. The lifting point in the centre swivels under load, so the chains from the crane hook don't twist, and the whole frame weighs just 32kg.

Before You Order

Your crane or hook lifts the frame as well as the bag, so add 32kg to the bag weight when you check its rating. To use it on a forklift you'll need a hook attachment first, such as our fixed forklift hook, and your truck's capacity checked with the hook fitted. The lifting point swivels so the chains don't twist, but it isn't for turning the load: fit a swivel hook to the crane if you need to position the bag. Non-standard bags? Ask us about longer or shorter arms and higher capacities.

Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you. Keep everyone clear of the area under a suspended bag. Read how to lift big bags with a forklift, then request a quote with your crane or forklift details and bag size.
