Prices depend on the model and options you need, so every lifting attachment is quoted individually.

A crane slung gas bottle handler lets you lift and move up to four gas cylinders with an overhead crane, without anyone carrying them. Each cylinder stands in its own bay and is held by a quick release chain, and the whole frame hangs from a central lifting eye.

The chains pull around each cylinder and clip into profiled separating arms, which keep the cylinders apart. It takes cylinders from 240 to 318mm in diameter and up to 1250mm tall, with a 500kg safe working load. You can also hang it from a forklift fitted with a jib or hook, or pick it up on forks through the base.

Before You Order

Send us the diameter, height and weight of your cylinders so we can confirm the frame suits them. Taller frames can be made to order. Your crane lifts the handler as well as the cylinders, so add its 78kg when you check the crane's rating. To lift it with a forklift, you'll need a jib or hook attachment and your truck's capacity checked with it fitted.

Close the valves and chain every cylinder in before you lift, and keep everyone clear of the area under the load. Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you. Read how to move and lift gas cylinders safely, then request a quote with your crane or forklift details.
