Fully automatic drum lifter tongs pick up and release 210 litre drums without the operator leaving the forklift cab. The tongs grip under the drum's top lip, lift it upright and let go when the drum is set down, so one person can move drums all day.
They hang from a single lifting eye, from a crane or from a forklift fitted with a yoke. The DTG-AU-1 lifts up to 500kg and the heavy duty DTG-AU-1-HD up to 1000kg, for 210 litre steel drums and 'L' and 'XL' plastic drums.

Before You Order
Tell us your drum type so we can confirm the tongs suit it, and check your crane or forklift can lift the drum and tongs together. On a forklift you'll need a yoke or hook attachment, such as our adjustable forklift hook.
Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you. Keep people clear of a suspended drum. Read our guide to forklift drum handling equipment, then request a quote.
