Semi automatic drum lifter tongs lift 210 litre drums upright from a crane, or from a forklift fitted with a hook or yoke, so drums can be moved, loaded and stacked without manual handling. Lifting the drum upright keeps it stable and saves space.
There are three models: the DTG-1 for steel drums up to 500kg, the heavy duty DTG-1-HD for steel drums up to 1000kg, and the DTG-1-M for Mauser (egg shaped) plastic drums up to 500kg. The tongs weigh 26 to 33kg.

Before You Order
Tell us your drum type, steel or Mauser plastic, so we supply the right model, and check your crane or forklift can lift the drum and tongs together. On a forklift you'll need a hook attachment, such as our adjustable forklift hook.
Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you. Keep people clear of a suspended drum. Read our guide to forklift drum handling equipment, then request a quote.
