Side Discharge Concrete Skip – 300 to 1200L, Forklift or Crane

A side discharge concrete skip, also called a cement or concrete hopper, carries concrete, mortar, cement and granular materials from the mixer to the pour by forklift or crane. A large rectangular side gate lets the material out at a controlled rate, and it's easy to clean when the job's done.

The base has 3-way entry with a fork locking system for forklift use, and lateral lifting points for crane use. Open the gate with a lever, a hand wheel or a hydraulic cylinder: all three suit the 300L to 1000L sizes, and the 1200L comes with a hand wheel or hydraulics.

Before You Order

Wet concrete weighs about 2.4 tonnes per cubic metre, so a full skip weighs close to its safe working load before you add the skip itself. Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you.
