Prices depend on your forklift and the options you need, so every attachment is quoted individually.

A conventional battery changing beam lets a forklift lift the traction battery out of an electric truck and set it down for charging or replacement. It slides onto the forks of the truck doing the lifting and is held with T-screw clamps, and two twin-leg slings with safety catch hooks take the battery by its lifting holes.

Each beam is made to suit your battery, with the slings set to its lifting holes so it lifts evenly without damage. Wire rope slings are standard, with insulated webbing slings available. Choose 1000kg or 2000kg, for forks only or for forks and crane.

Before You Order

Each beam is made for your battery, so send us the distance between the lifting hole centres, the battery's width and height, the diameter of the lifting holes and the battery's weight. Check your forks fit the 140 x 50mm pockets at the 295mm spread, and that the truck doing the lifting can carry the battery and beam together. Choose a crane model if you'll also lift from an overhead crane.

HSE advises using insulated lifting equipment for batteries, so ask about insulated slings, or see the insulated battery changing beam. Under LOLER, lifting equipment needs regular thorough examination by a competent person, and lifting accessories need one at least every six months unless an examination scheme sets a different interval, so ask your examiner which applies to you. Read how to change a forklift battery safely, then request a quote with your battery details and forklift make and model.
