The Auger Torque hard rock auger is built for fractured hard rock and extremely abrasive ground, to get the hole drilled when regular rock augers start to refuse. It suits excavators from 10 to 50 tonnes and drills holes from 300mm to 1m across.
Rotating rock picks sit on an aggressive tapered cutting head. Each tooth makes its own fresh cut on every turn and is angled to direct spoil towards the centre, breaking the rock into large pieces that come to the surface quickly without clogging. Only the rotating picks wear, not the pockets or holders. The heavy wall tube and 20mm starter flight give it the strength for the toughest ground.
