A fork mounted forklift jib slides onto your forks and gives you a raised lifting point out in front of the truck, so you can lift machinery, motors, press tools, steelwork and other loads that hang from a hook rather than sit on a pallet. It has a fixed 1800mm beam with four hook positions from 1000mm to 1750mm, and comes rated to suit forklifts from 1000kg to 5000kg.

The beam sits above the forks, which gives the driver a clear view of the load and keeps the hook off the ground when the jib is parked. Drive the forks into the fork pockets, fit the heel retaining pins so the jib can't slide off, then hang the load from the hook and shackle at the position you need. It suits forklifts and telehandlers with the right fork size.

Hook positions are measured from the face of the forks. Read the row for your truck's rated capacity: each figure is the most the jib can lift at that hook position.

Before You Order

Find the rated capacity on your forklift's data plate and choose that option. Then check your forks: jibs for 1000kg to 2500kg trucks take forks up to 140mm wide and 60mm thick at a 500mm spread, and jibs for 3000kg to 5000kg trucks take forks up to 180 x 80mm at a 580mm spread. The jib's own weight uses up some of your truck's capacity, so if you're unsure, ask your forklift dealer to confirm the truck can carry the jib and your load.

Lift loads straight up rather than dragging them, and include the jib in your LOLER thorough examinations. Not sure it suits your truck? Send us your truck capacity and fork sizes and we'll check before you order.

Which Forklift Jib Do You Need?

This jib suits most workshop and yard lifts up to 1750mm out. For heavy loads close to the truck, or lifting under obstructions, the low profile forklift crane jib has hook points from 500mm. To reach further, the telescopic forklift crane jib extends to 3000mm, and the low profile extender forklift jib does the same with a low beam. For simple lifts close to the forks, a fixed forklift hook costs less.

Fork Mounted Forklift Jib FAQs

How much can it lift?

That depends on your truck and the hook position. On a 2500kg forklift it lifts 1400kg at 1000mm and 850kg at 1750mm. On a 5000kg forklift it lifts up to 2700kg. Check the table above for your truck.

Will it fit my forklift?

It fits most counterbalance forklifts and telehandlers from 1000kg to 5000kg, as long as your forks fit the pockets and can be set to the right spread. Measure your forks before you order, or send us the sizes and we'll check.

How is it different from a low profile jib?

This jib's beam is raised above the forks, which gives a clearer view of the load and keeps the hook off the ground. A low profile jib keeps the beam at fork level, so it fits under obstructions and has hook points closer to the truck, from 500mm.
